Vina has lived with chronic pain for the last 12 years and copes with her pain by turning it into her purpose. Vina’s pain began in her teenage years after an injury that led to trigeminal neuralgia and chronic migraine. She also experiences chronic back pain from a spinal cord injury. Vina now works in pain research at The Hospital for Sick Children. She is incredibly passionate about patient and family involvement in research and believes youth are the key to an equitable and inclusive healthcare system.
