Larissa Shasko is a PhD of Public Policy candidate with Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Saskatchewan. Her research areas include energy policy, radiation, climate change, public engagement, social media, science fiction and science communication. Since 2018, Larissa has been working with the Centre for the Study of Science and Innovation Policy as part of a research team that is studying people's perceptions of the risks and benefits of low dose radiation exposure from natural, medical and nuclear sources. In 2020, Larissa completed her Master of Public Policy degree with Johnson Shoyama where she studied polarization over the use of SMRs as a low carbon energy option. She also holds a BA Honours in Political Science with the University of Regina and has a background in climate change activism.
