Anna Harrison

Research Scientist, French National Scientific Research Centre (CNRS)
Dr. Anna Harrison (Ph.D. 2015, UBC) is a research scientist at the French National Scientific Research Centre (CNRS) in Toulouse, France. After receiving her PhD in Geology at the University of British Columbia, she was a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University, a Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellow at University College London, and Assistant Professor in Environmental Geochemistry at Queen’s University, Ontario, before joining the CNRS in 2021. Dr. Harrison’s research focuses on both the environmental implications of human activities, and the potential for reducing environmental impacts using natural geochemical processes. In particular, her research investigates carbon dioxide removal by carbon mineralization, a process that mimics natural rock weathering to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
