Alain Tchagang

Research Officer - National Research Council (NRC) of Canada

Alain Tchagang is a research officer with the National Research Council (NRC) of Canada. He has a wealth of research experience combining state-of-the-art methods in statistical signal processing and machine learning to tackle novel and challenging problems in life science, physics and engineering. He currently leads the AI4 design master project in deep materials sciences and the AI4 drug design project. 

Prior to joining the NRC Alain was a research associate in computational systems biological at the University of Pittsburgh. He obtained a M.Sc. and a PhD in electrical engineering and biomedical engineering in 2004 and 2007 respectively from the University of Minnesota. Alain also holds a B.Sc., a M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Yaoundé 1, Cameroon, 1996 and 1998 respectively, and finally a « Diplôme d’Ingénieur de Conception en Génie Électrique » from the « École Nationale Supérieure Polytechnique de Yaoundé », Cameroon, 2000.
