Eric Lefebvre

Director, Business Development, Aerospace, National Research Council of Canada and Co-Founder of Canadian Advanced Air Mobility

Eric Lefebvre is the Director of Business Development at the National Research Council (NRC) of Canada for the Aerospace Research Centre. Eric has been working in advanced air mobility since joining the NRC in 2014 and has been an integral part of NRC in co-founding the Canadian Advanced Air Mobility (CAAM). Today, Eric is the chair of CAAM, representing himself.

Eric’s responsibilities includes overseeing a team in developing and managing strategic partnerships in the aerospace industry with focus on new technologies and focal areas. His prior role includes heading a program on unmanned civilian aircraft, and developing a technology roadmap to overcome environmental and regulatory obstacles for drones in Canada.

Prior to joining the public sector, Eric has twenty-four years of executive leadership experience within the high tech sector in addition to being a co-founder of a software company. Among his expertise includes consultancy services and market development and strategic partnership.

Eric has a strategic vision to drive innovation in the world of aviation. His current role as Director of Business Development for the NRC is an asset to drive and guide research and development while connecting the ecosystem together. His AAM and RPAS knowledge is an asset to CAAM to assist in establishing the necessary relationships to collaborate.
