Aligning U.S.-Canada Research and Development Processes to Tackle Common Grand Challenges in Domestic Safety and Security
Harmoniser les processus de recherche et de développement entre les États-Unis et le Canada pour relever les grands défis communs en matière de sûreté et de sécurité intérieures

Panel Organized by: U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Science & Technology / Defence Research Development Canada Centre for Security Science

The U.S. and Canada are long-standing partners in research and development (R&D) to support safety and security missions. To further evolve the partnership, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology Directorate and Defence Research and Development Canada jointly developed a Strategic Plan for Cooperation in Science and Technology to drive alignment of investment and requirements cycles and enhance strategic relevance and impact on significant challenges requiring international cooperation. The organizations are realizing this plan through the North Star Initiative, a three-year program to frame and align strategic priorities, procedures, and resources to address specific public safety and security challenges.
